| Experience in general Some call the squat white cube at the lower left the ugliest building in downtown Houston. Others call it the most dangerous. I only spent one year (during 1980-1981) working in that ugly, dangerous building, but I've tried both jury and nonjury cases there ever since. It's fair to say that I know how to find my way there and I know what to do when I arrive. Ditto for the new Harris County Civil Courthouse on the opposite side of downtown. I can certainly "talk the talk" about going to court to try cases to a conclusion, but I've also actually "walked the walk" on a regular basis. Although there are important disclaimers that you should also read before drawing any conclusions, the five subtabs above — in the lighter shade of green, beginning with "Trial experience" — will take you to very specific data about my experience over the past three decades of practicing law.
